I have designed quite a few gardens and I am sure that landscaping water gardens are the hardest but most fun. I think that it is because they are unusual and therefore I have had less practice at doing them. I find that they are much better because the plants are much more interesting that the normal ones that I tend to use for landscape borders, I find that most of my clients seem to want similar things as well and so it is really good to have a different sort of challenge. For example I have been doing loads of raised gardens lately because one of my clients was so pleased that she recommended me to a lot of her friends. That was great because I got loads of business out of it but they all wanted something very similar to the original job that I did. Now that I have got a bit water garden contract I am nervous and excited at the same time. It is probably one of the biggest jobs that I have ever done as well which is fantastic. I have been frantically looking through lots of design books to try to come up with a great idea to present to the client as I know that they have very high standards and quite a clear idea about what they want to achieve, so it will be quite a challenge for me.
