Tippmann A5 is a semi automatic marking gun for paint ball sports manufactured by Tippmann. Based in Indiana, USA, Tippmann is a manufacturer of paintball markers and other equipments required by this sport. Paintball marking gun is not only used for recreational purposes like paintball sports but also for tactical police and military training. A5 by Tippmann is a good marker for starters, which is not very highly priced. But this model is the most upgradeable one and there are many parts and upgrades available in the market, which can make it quite expensive. This marker was modeled after H& K MP5K and it has Cyclone Feed system, a new loading concept innovated by Tippmann. Through this system, five rotating arms hold five balls between them and push the paintball directly into the firing chamber. Many paintball enthusiasts prefer it because of its durability and reliability.

In 2006, Tippmann came out with a new marker X 7 which was similar in design to A5. Tippmann X7 can fire up to 20 balls per second as opposed to A5. It has a cyclone Enhanced Performance feed system.
